What you make on Whistlr stays yours

Here’s what the Whistlr Terms of Service say about owning your content, respecting other people’s work and posting as yourself.

Originality 101

You own what you post

Everything you create on Whistlr remains yours. Under our Terms of Service, you retain full ownership of your content at all times, and you can delete it whenever you want. When you do, we remove it from our servers.

When you post, you grant Whistlr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Use, reproduce and display your content on our platform
  • Modify and adapt content for technical purposes
  • Distribute content through our services
  • Use content for promotional purposes, with attribution

The license lets Whistlr show and distribute what you post. Ownership stays with you.

The same goes the other way. Whistlr’s branding, design and software belong to ETAProjects Inc., and Whistlr’s trademarks, logos and service marks can’t be used without prior written permission.

Understand the rules

Respect other people’s work and identity

Everyone on Whistlr agrees to the same Acceptable Use rules. Under the Terms of Service, you agree not to:

  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights
  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Engage in spam, phishing or fraudulent activities
  • Post illegal, harmful or offensive content

Post what you made, as yourself. Content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, or that pretends to be someone else, breaks the Terms.

Our Community Standards also list intellectual property violations, impersonation or fraudulent identities, and spam, scams or deceptive behavior among the things that are strictly prohibited on Whistlr.

Enforcement

What happens when content breaks the rules

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce our standards. We work to act quickly, but we can’t review all content in real time.

Violations result in enforcement action, up to and including permanent account removal. Whistlr can suspend or terminate an account at any time for violations of the Terms.

If you find a post that copies your work or pretends to be you, report it from the post in the app. For questions about the Terms, contact hq@etapx.pro.
